CAREER
HISTORY
Samantha-Antoinette Smith started singing professionally over 35 years ago and has enjoyed singing Gospel, Blues, Jazz, Motown & Pop music.
She joined The London Community Gospel Choir and stayed for 21 years. "I have so many fond, unforgettable memories and I worked with amazing top celebrities and artists, providing backup singing sometimes as part of a trio or as a backup choir including being amongst LCGC's top lead singers."
SPECIAL MOMENTS
Also during this time with LCGC, Samantha-Antoinette recalls being commended by The Late "Luther Vandross", where LCGC was backing him at The Royal Albert Hall for a live album recording called "An Evening Of Songs", during the rehearsal period, when the singers were asked to sing individually, on hearing Samantha's voice, "Vandross" said to one of his backing singers - “SHE HAS A GREAT TONE"!
A fantastic endorsement and fond memory Samantha-Antoinette will NEVER forget!

SAMANTHA ANTOINETTE AND HIDDEN AGENDA
SAMANTHA ANTOINETTE SAYS:
I met these guys in April 2014, whilst I was working in Copenhagen doing the opera - Porgy and Bess. I saw them performing at Charlie Scott's Jazz Bar.
I remember, immediately I loved their music, on stage the atmosphere was electric, fun, and lots of dancing in the audience.
During the interval, Johan Bylling Lang (the band leader) asked me if I wanted to come up on stage and sing with them, I sang "Stormy Monday" (that video can be seen on the gallery page).
Needless to say, the song went down very well.
Johan asked me if I would like to do some gigs with them, So I begin the following year, doing some gigs with their band "Jazz Five", (they formed in 1996 and have toured worldwide and specialise in modern New Orleans music).
Since 2015, I have been performing with Jazz Five around Denmark, and seeing the response from the audiences, it became apparent that we wanted to do more shows together and also cut out our own musical niche, aside from the New Orleans style.
We just couldn't resist and formed the group SAMANTHA ANTOINETTE AND HIDDEN AGENDA - an extension arm of Jazz Five. I just love these guys and being onstage with them, the energy we all have, the songs, it all just comes alive and works so well together. At our shows, we get the crowd on their feet and I just love watching them dancing and singing with us.
SAMANTHA ANTOINETTE AND THE CHARGERS
This great band was initially put together by Peter Nande from Strait Shooter Records, in 2016, after he saw Samantha Antoinette sing “Stormy Monday” at the Copenhagen Blues Festival. This collaboration has since traveled around Denmark playing to “Blues Houses and Festivals” Just causing a storm but in the best blues way. It cannot be denied that their electrifying energy and fusion on stage just totally encapsulates an audience, bringing them together as they dance and sing along to the blues and become enchanted by the musical journey and dexterity of some of danish most finest, talented and best musicians hailing from the blues school of life. The Chargers, leave you feeling empowered, buoyant and just wanting more and more.
